  He was the youngest “Dean of the Diplomatic Corps” in the world, during his tenure in Iran as Ambassador.
August 1990 Undertook the task of supervising the Kuwaiti media in the first months of the occupation and operated the first Kuwaiti broadcasting station in exile.
August 1990 His voice was the first Kuwaiti voice to be heard over the radio during the Iraqi aggression, saying "This is Kuwait".
October 1990 He authorized the daily publishing of "The Voice of Kuwait" newspaper which represented the Kuwaiti People.

The Pact of Umar is considered to be one of the oldest and the most important documents in the regulation of the relationship between religions. His Beatitude Patriarch John X Yazigi, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Greek Orthodox, offered it to His Highness in recognition of his efforts to promote dialogue among civilizations.
